Soiling is responsible for a loss of 3%–4% the potential global solar power production that estimated to rise because increased deployment in dusty environments [Ilse et al., Joule 3, 2303–2321 (2019)]. For effective mitigation strategies and site selection soiling ratio data crucial. can be measured directly by comparing or short circuit current soiled PV cell module clean photovoltaic (PV) device same model. In recent years, number indirect sensors such as Kipp Zonen's DustIQ Atonometric's MARS were introduced. These do not use cells determine ratio.
